"Stars of Defense"

From the mid-1950s until the late 1960s, the United States Federal Civil Defense Administration produced 15 minute radio shows to keep citizens prepared for disaster. Sixteen-inch records were distributed to radio stations with strict instructions on which date each record should be played. On March 5, 1967, Patricia Marand, aka Lois Lane, was the featured star.

Patricia's soaring voice was perfectly suited to this format. And she even mentions "her show" Superman during the course of the interview. We've edited out the civil defense sections and added photos from Patricia's career.

Enjoy!

We'll give you the background on these photos in a future update.
